How often should you clean your backpack?
You should clean your backpack after every hike. Dirt, if removed when it is still fresh, will come off more easily, simply with a wet cloth.
It is essential to let the backpack dry well, not only after washing, but also after a short excursion, to prevent the creation of mold and damage to the material.
If a deeper cleaning is required, then you should proceed with the following instructions:
NEVER WASH THE BACKPACK IN THE WASHING MACHINE, AN INCORRECT WASHING CAN DAMAGE THE FABRIC AND ITS PERFORMANCE. DO NOT USE DRYING MACHINE, DRY CLEANING OR BLEACH.
Aggressive and incorrect washing damages the internal lining of the fabric (PU coating) affecting the impermeability of the material and its texture. The use of aggressive detergents or soap residues could create irritations in contact with sensitive skin and react with sweat and sunlight.
HOW TO WASH A MARSUPIO BACKPACK
Before washing, remove any objects from the backpack and loosen all the straps, remove the internal frame if necessary.
Dip the backpack it in warm water (do not use hot water because it could fade the color). We suggest using a large bowl or washtub, so you will be able to thoroughly wash all the pockets and sections of the product. Do not wash the product with other garments, the color may not resist washing.
To remove stains, use a soft brush (for example the one used by shoemakers) and a delicate neutral soap (no bleach). Use an old toothbrush to treat obstinate stains. Repeat the operation several times and on each side until the product is clean, change the water if necessary.
Make sure you rinse the product thoroughly, to remove all traces of soap.
For efficient drying, wring out the backpack, paying attention to the zips, straps and foam padding, to avoid damaging them. Do not use a drying machine, but hang it upside down in the open air, with pockets and zips open, do not expose it to direct sunlight or a heat source.
Let it dry completely before storing it in a dry place away from direct sunlight, to prevent mold from forming and damaging the material.
Your backpack is ready for your next adventure!
