In 1993, cinemas were packed with the release of Jurassic Park, Roberto Baggio was named European Footballer of the Year and MARSUPIO experienced something of a revolution: the inclusion of our breathable back system marked a huge step forward for the technology of trekking backpacks. They weren’t just normal backpacks with more space, but could be carried for hours without any sweat build-up on the back.
Freedom Air became the distinctive hallmark of Marsupio backpacks and featured in a range of models including Stelvio and Navako.
The new logo Nature by Marsupio symbolises freedom and lightness, the same sensations provided by the new breathable mesh back systems that were launched the same year.
Indeed, this was the year when we adopted Nature by Marsupio as the brand name for our Trekking line, while the Marsupio logo would be kept for our ranges of waist bags and daypacks.
Throughout the 90’s Marsupio and Nature by Marsupio brands grew rapidly, especially in the world of outdoors and trekking, and we participated in the major international trade fairs such as ISPO and enjoyed much high-profile acclaim.
Indeed, between 94 ‘and 97’ we collaborated with alpine guides and high-profile organizations by participating in expeditions to Peru, Patagonia, the Magnetic North Pole and the Himalayas …
